Ktunaxa First Nations Exhibit

Wildlife Tree exhibit Fire on the Land speaks to traditional Ktunaxa use of grassfires in the Columbia Valley, and artfully traces the evolution of how fire is managed on this landscape. The Wildlife Tree, riddled with woodpecker holes, has life-sized models of a pileated woodpecker, mountain bluebird and red squirrel. An audio station features the calls of these and other forest and grassland creatures.
