Safety
Natural hazards are part of every visit to the Rocky Mountains. These are most common risks and how to avoid them.
If you are planning a backcountry trip and have no one with whom you can leave details, you may complete a Voluntary Safety Registration at a visitor centre. If you register, by law, you must register your return to prevent a costly and unnecessary search.
