Jasper National Park is open year round. All major travel routes are maintained throughout the year, although temporary closures may come into effect in the event of adverse weather conditions.

Peak season in the park are the months of July and August. Visitors planning on coming to the park during these months are advised to book their accommodation well in advance.

The Jasper National Park Information Centre is located at 500 Connaught Drive.
It is open seven days a week during the summer months.

Jasper National Park Town Information Centre Winter Hours 2011/12

Until October 26: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm 7 days/week
October 27 – February 29: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday-Thursday 
                                           9:00 am – 5:00 pm Friday & Saturday 
Closed Sundays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
Christmas Holiday Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Dec 27-31
March 1 – mid-May: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm 7 days/week


The Parks Canada information desk at the Icefield Centre is located 103 km south of Jasper.
It is open seven days a week during the summer months.
