Meeting Agenda:

  1. Block 14, Lot 15 – 118 Patricia Street – The proponents have applied to vary the maximum number of permitted entrances (from 2 to 3) in a R2 Two-Unit Dwelling District.
  2. Block 39, Lots 34 and 35 – 1215 Cabin Creek Drive – The proponents have applied to operate two rooms of private home accommodation, which is a discretionary use.
  3. Block 40, Lot 45 – 1115 Patricia Street – The proponents have applied to operate two rooms of private home accommodation, which is a discretionary use.
  4. Block 3, Lot 17 – 306 Connaught Drive – The proponents have applied for discretionary use approval as well as six variances for the construction of a new commercial and residential use building.

Parties affected by these applications are invited to make written or oral presentations to the committee. Oral presentations at the meeting are limited to 5 minutes and are by appointment only. Written presentations to a maximum of 500 words may be submitted to the Development Office. To make an appointment or submit a written presentation, contact the Parks Canada Development Office at 780-852-6223 no later than 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014.

Applications heard at the public meeting held at 3:30 pm on Thursday, September 25, 2014 in the Grand Trunk Pacific Boardroom, Jasper Heritage Railway Station, 607 Connaught Drive, Jasper, AB

Applications: 

  1. Block 37, Lot 9 – 904 Bonhomme Street - The proponent, Dennis Banack, has applied to vary the maximum number of permitted entrances (from 2 to 4) in a R1, One-Unit Dwelling District. 
    a) Variance - DECISION: APPROVED 
  2.  Block 13, Lots 13 & 14 – 120 & 122 Connaught Drive - The proponents, RBO Holdings Ltd., have applied to:
    i. Rezone from R2 Two-Unit Dwelling District to R3b Multi Unit Dwelling District in order to develop a multi-unit apartment building;
    a) Spot Rezone - DECISION: CONDITIONAL APPROVAL with building height restricted to a maximum of 10 m instead of 13.7 m and final building design to conform to all R3b zoning requirements with no variances granted.
