I’m coming with a big group, where can I stay?

Jasper has two group campgrounds for you to choose from. Campgrounds include large grassy areas perfect for tenting, games and special activities for many people. Washrooms, firewood, kitchen shelters and bear-proof storage lockers are all available on site for your use.

Both group campgrounds are available in the spring, summer and fall months and can be reserved by calling 780-883-0845.

Group campgrounds are most ideal for visitors with large groups such as a Scouts trips, school trips, outdoor clubs or family re-unions.

Athabasca Group Day-Use Site

A stunning backdrop of golden montane grasses set against an idyllic riverside location on the Athabasca can be yours. This is the perfect place for a group event such as a picnic, a wedding or any other kind of outdoor celebration that needs a big view and lots of space to be a success. Overnight events and stays are not permitted.

The Athabasca Group Day-Use Site is just ten minutes east of Jasper on highway 16. It offers a striking location with an array of peaks in all directions, a privy, a cook shelter, several washrooms and plenty of wide open meadows.

Call 780-883-0845 to make a booking.

A variety of non-reservable group picnic areas are also found throughout Jasper National Park, with tables, privies and cook shelters. These are intended for a first-come, first-serve basis.
