Jasper National Park of Canada

Beauty Flats, Jasper National Park of Canada
Jasper is the largest and most northerly Canadian rocky mountain national park, part of a spectacular World Heritage Site. Comprised of delicate and carefully protected ecosystems, Jasper's scenery is none-the-less rugged and mountainous. In this special corner of Canada you can thrill to the thunder of Sunwapta Falls, enjoy the serene beauty of Mount Edith Cavell, connect with nature along 1,000-plus kilometres of trails, experience Athabasca Glacier up close or just resign yourself to a relaxing soak in Miette Hotsprings.

Jasper Trails Project

Parks Canada maintains over 190 km of trails in the area immediately surrounding the Town of Jasper. These popular trails originated in the mid 20th century as horse trails, logging trails and recreational trails. They were developed at a time when people were not aware of wildlife needs or sensitive habitats, and the impacts popular recreational pursuits can have on them.

You're travelling where they're travelling.

Have your say

For the first time, Canada’s seven mountain national parks—Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Yoho, Glacier, Mount Revelstoke and Waterton Lakes are working together to review and shape their future as they update their park management plans.
