In 2011, Parks Canada celebrated its 100th birthday. Throughout the year, every month, we presented our organization to you using a different theme and prepared wallpapers related to that theme. It is with great pride that we offer these wallpapers to you as a legacy of our centennial.

Saint-Louis Forts and Châteaux NHS and Château Frontenac NHS

Recent archaeological digs in Quebec City have uncovered remains of the Saint-Louis forts and châteaux which served as the official residence and the seat of power for most governors during the more than 200 years of French then English rule in Quebec. Today, the impressive Château Frontenac, valued as an excellent example of château-style hotel, occupies the site.
