Hand-held views of 3 young men jumping from small cliffs in succession.

 (Text on screen) All outdoor activities take practice. The higher the cliff, the higher the risk.

From a distance a male jumper is seen pacing nervously on top of a high cliff.

The camera angle changes to show height of the entire cliff.

Looking over the cliff the jumper gets more anxious.
Jumper: That's high, that's really high. I've never . . .

Off camera, a male bystander goads the jumper.
Male Bystander: Come one. You can do it.

A female bystander on right also encourages him to jump.
Female Bystander: On the count of three.
Jumper: That is so high.
Female Bystander: It’s not even that high.
Jumper: I've have not, I've never jumped this before.
Female Bystander: You can do it, don't even think about it.

A close up from below the cliff shows the jumper nervously looking over the edge, the shot pans back showing the size of the cliff.
Jumper: I don’t know, I don’t know.

Back on top of the cliff the jumper retreats from the edge.
Jumper: I don’t know guys, I really don’t know.
Male Bystander: Come on!
Female Bystander: Have a beer first.
Male Bystander: Do it!

Wide view of entire cliff face with the jumper looking over.

The camera angle changes to the jumper’s point of view looking down.

Back to the wide view, the jumper commits and jumps.

A hand held side view shows the jumper hitting the water.

An underwater camera shows the jumper entering the water, then struggling to the surface.

Wide view of entire cliff, the jumper reaches the surface in obvious distress.
Female Bystander: Oh my god. Oh my god. Something's going wrong. Call 911.

(Text on screen) If somebody told you to jump off a cliff, would you?

A rescue technician rappels down the cliff face from above.
He reaches the jumper, who is still in the water.

The rescue technician secures the patient as another rescue technician swims to assist.

From the surface of the lake, a close-up shows the rescue technician holding the jumper and speaking on the radio.

Rescue Technician 1: Ok, if there are any thermal layers that can come down with that litter that would be good.

A still photo shows a wide view of the two rescue technicians supporting the jumper.

Two close-up still photos show the jumper being treated by the rescue technicians.

Radio: Are you secure where you are?
Rescue Technician 1: I am secure on the rap line, ah, I am heavy on the rap line right now.

The camera angle switches to the rescue technician’s point of view. He looks at the jumper who is in obvious distress. The second rescue technician applies a cervical collar to the jumper.

The camera angle transitions back to the surface view of the rescue technician speaking on the radio.

Radio: Ok go ahead with your vitals.
Rescue Technician 1: Chief complaint is mid line pain, and he does have distal sensation. He's in the initial stages of hypothermia and has a strong radial pulse.
Radio: Copy mid line pain and good distal.

The jumper is packaged into a stretcher.

The camera pans out showing the stretcher and the rescue technician being raised out of the water.

From the rescue technician point of view, he adjusts the rope system.
The stretcher continues to be raised.

Rescue Technician 1: Alright, that feels really good guys, that’s good for speed. Ah, we’re 15 feet from the overhang.

A wide view, time lapses at the stretcher is hauled up and over the top of the cliff.

(Text on screen) Every year people suffer from life-altering injuries associated with cliff jumping.

A still photo shows a close up view of the two rescue technicians supporting the jumper. From here the entire scene rewinds at high speed until we see the jumper’s point of view looking down once again.
