A series of videos that take you on a “virtual tour” of Johnson Lake with Banff National Park’s fire communications officer. We explore the forests near the lake and discover that the most important tool for ensuring our forests are healthy is FIRE. The video examines why trees such as Lodgepole Pine, Trembling Aspen and Douglas Fir need fire and discusses how Parks Canada has been actively reintroducing fire into Banff National park since 1983.
