This is a deer hide.
So the first thing you have to do after hunting, and after cleaning the animal and dressing it, taking out all the guts and the stomach and that kind of thing is take off the meat, cause otherwise the bugs will land on it you know, lay their eggs, and the maggots will chew right through the hide

If I wanted to soften this one here, the traditional way to do it was with the brain, and you would use the brain of the animal.

Most animals have enough brains to soften their hide, but the bison is the exception with its huge hide, but very tiny brain.

And basically what I did was I come back, wrapped it around and then wrapped it around this way.
