Plan your visit
The S.S. Klondike is located on the banks of the Yukon River on the outskirts of downtown Whitehorse. Enjoy a self-guided tour (brochure $3.00, available in English, French and German), the Days of the Riverboats video, and the Xplorer activity booklet for kids. To enrich your experience consider a guided tour.
A pedestrian trail following the Yukon River is a pleasant way to reach the site from downtown or Robert Service Campground.
Alternately, you can get to the site via Whitehorse Transit bus or by taking the Waterfront Trolley.
If you choose to drive to the site there is ample parking with pull through stalls for RVs and trailers.
Whitehorse is easily accessed by air from Vancouver, Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa. Many visitors take the Alaska Highway from B.C., Alberta or Alaska.
