Join the Celebration with Parks Canada!

Parks Canada is inviting Canadians and visitors from around the world to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary at our national treasures from coast to coast to coast.

To mark this special year, we're offering free admission to all Parks Canada locations, and we want you to join us for the celebration.

What is free?

  • Admission to all national parks, national historic sites, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada;
  • Lockage at Parks Canada's canal and historic waterways;

What is not free?

Parks Canada is pleased to offer free admission to our places, however, regular fees still apply for other experiences and services, such as:

  • Camping and other accommodations
  • Canadian Rockies Hot Springs
  • Mooring
  • Reservation fees
  • Guided tours and hikes and programs not usually included with admission
  • Some special event fees
  • Firewood
  • Overnight backcountry use.

Note: This is not an exhaustive list. Please verify with the location you will be visiting for more details.

Entry and service fees are charged at most national parks and national historic sites, where revenues are kept to support visitor services and facilities. This means that every time you visit a park or site you are investing in its future — and in a legacy for future generations.

The following definitions apply to entry and service fee categories unless otherwise specified:

Adult: Person 17 to 64 years of age
Senior: Person 65 years of age or over
Youth: Person 6 to 16 years of age
Family/Group: Up to seven people, with a maximum of two adults, visiting a national historic site together.
School Groups: Students of elementary and secondary schools.

Ticket gives you free admission to any one regular program at the Klondike National Historic

Please note that the Golden Ticket cannot be used for the Dawson City Escape!, for Dredge No. 4 or at our partner organization the Danoja Zho Cultural Centre.
