The Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site of Canada is among the family of National Historic Sites administered by Parks Canada that commemorate nationally significant places, persons and events. Designated for the role it played in the mass movement of people to the Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush, it is a component of the Klondike Gold Rush International Historical Park and is managed in cooperation with the United States National Park Service.

Cultural Resource Management 

As a National Historic Site of Canada the Chilkoot Trail is managed according to the principles outlined in Parks Canada's Cultural Resource Management Policy.
