Journey Through Time Tour
Your family will love this fun, animated and entertaining version of the Batoche story. Meet interesting characters on this tour that explores the Métis community of Batoche before, during and after the events of 1885. Offered July 2 – September 1. approximately1 ½ hours.
Batoche Cultural Explorer Tour
Do you like learning about history in-depth and asking lots of questions? You are sure to enjoy this approximately 2 hour tour. Contact us for times.
Batoche Visitor Shuttle (new)
Hip-Hip-Hooray! It’s here! an exciting new way to experience Batoche for an hour or even a whole fun-filled day! If you always wanted to visit Batoche but were worried about getting around: We are happy to present you with a brand new “ride-on program” in the form of a Shuttle Tour. This program will allow you to explore unique new places while enjoying a relaxing scenic ride around Batoche.
Batoche School Tour
Is your class studying the North West / Métis Resistance of 1885? Have you considered visiting one of the last battle sites? At Batoche your class will learn about the resistance and the historic Batoche community. Plan to have some fun, too! You may visit the Zareba, Caron Sr. Farm Home, Gunner Philip's grave site, Cemetery, Mission Ridge and the St. Antoine-de-Padoue Church and Rectory. Interpreters will be using a variety of techniques to deliver messages: period activities, demonstration, animated roles, skits, or non-period learning activities. The activities are aimed at the students, but teachers and chaperones can join in, too! Activities are intended to be educational and fun.
Seek and Scamper Geocaching Challenge
Discover the secrets of Batoche and earn your souvenir Batoche Geocoin in this brand new geocaching program for all ages. Use of GPS units included in program fee. Available July-Thanksgiving.
Picnics, Hiking, Bird Watching and Canoeing
Bring your hiking shoes, binoculars or canoes and explore the amazing views, picnic areas and trails along the South Saskatchewan River.

Do you like to Xplore? You will have FUN doing activities and collecting COOL souvenirs at Batoche National Historic Site and other Parks Canada sites in Saskatchewan. Go to the Visitor Centre and ask to become a Parks Canada Xplorer. Free with entry.
