How to Get There
The site is located in the Île-aux-Grues archipelago, 48 km east of the city of Québec. Private ferry companies provide transport to Grosse Île for a fee. Ferries depart from the south shore of Québec (Berthier-sur-Mer), from Québec, from Lévis, from Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, and from Île d'Orléans. Boat services are offered from early May to mid-October.

Berthier-sur-Mer
At Berthier-sur-Mer, the private company Les Croisières Lachance offers several departures daily, from early May to mid-October. To reach Berthier-sur-Mer from Quebec City, take the Pierre-Laporte Bridge south and follow signs for Autoroute 20 est (east) toward Rivière-du-Loup. From Autoroute 20, take exit 364 for Berthier-sur-Mer and follow signs for the village, then to the marina.
Quebec City, Old Port
Another private company, Les Croisières le Coudrier, offers departures to Grosse Île, from early May to mid-october. They operate from the Port of Quebec, 180 Dalhousie, Dock 19, near the Bassin Louise gate.
Saint-Laurent, Île d'Orléans
Les Croisières le Coudrier also offers departures for Grosse Île from Saint-Laurent at Île d'Orléans, from early May to mid-October. You can reach Saint-Laurent by car from Quebec City by taking Route 138, then crossing the bridge to Île d'Orléans. Once on the island, follow the Royal Road west to Saint-Laurent and make your way to the dock.
