Outdoor Tournament in Open Mixed Epee Epee outdoor tournament!

June 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Presented by the Escrime Mont-Royal club, this outdoor mixed epee tournament is organized in collaboration with Parks Canada.

While fencers cross blades on the grounds of the Fort-Chambly park, spectators will be able to learn the basics of fencing and enjoy historical activities between the bouts. You will attend quite a show!

Please note that the event is postponed to June 12 in case of rain.

On the occasion of its fifth anniversary, the members of the Iris de Chambly Photography Club are presenting the group's "Free Expression" exhibition. More than 110 works to discover in two separate Chambly locations; the Parc de Fréhel and Fort Chambly, where the works are exhibited in the Park, the courtyard of the Fort and the Albani room.

The Concours d’Élégance de Chambly - organized by Voitures anciennes du Québec inc. - will take place in the fort’s park. This gathering of vintage cars draws many visitors each year.

There will be a competition in period costume and many prizes.

Saturday and Sunday, August 20th to 21st

Enjoy a full weekend of special events offered free of charge* at the Park of the Fort Chambly National Historic Site to celebrate St. Louis Day and the 21st edition of the Artistes sur le Champ Symposium. This event is presented by Parks Canada in collaboration with the City of Chambly.

  • Canon firing at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.
  • Strolling music by the La Sainte-Barbe trio from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Demonstrators of crafts from bygone days: Blacksmith and wood turner
  • Activities related to New-France cuisine
  • An animation on the art of fortification (inside the fort)
  • Demonstration and history of lace (inside the fort)

"Artistes sur le Champ" Symposium
More than fifty artists with varying styles exhibit their work at the enchanting Fort Chambly site in addition to creating live and interacting with the public.

As part of the Bières & Saveurs festival, Fort Chambly is offering you the thematic activity “The Fort and beer”. Immerse yourself in the history of alcoholic beverages from the period of New France until now in a revealing setting inside Fort Chambly. Interesting facts about wine, bouillon, spruce beer, guildive, aqua vitae and cider will be exposed during this sensory visit. A peasant woman busy grilling malted barley awaits your visit. A toast to Bacchus!

Musket firing will take place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Bières & Saveurs (Beers & Flavours) is the largest brewing gathering in Quebec. The organizers, Bassin en Fête, this year celebrate the 15th anniversary of the event.

Double your enjoyment with the $18 special package that allows you to participate in the festival and to visit the fort.

The Harvest Celebration / Culture days

Come celebrate Culture Days at Fort Chambly! A number of activities and special features will be presented in the courtyard and the park of the Fort. Young and old alike are invited to take part in the presentations on the fall harvests from the vegetable garden of yesteryear to discover the heritage vegetables and Quebec's ancestral conservation traditions. Take advantage of the occasion to see the Flavours of New France exhibit that reveals the five foods that were valued in the era of the French soldiers. This event is presented by Parks Canada in collaboration with the City of Chambly.

Access to the site is free.
