Flavours from the Farmers’ Market

Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., from June 9 to September 29

Saturday is market day at the fort!

You will find producers offering their local products, such as artisanal breads and fresh fruits and vegetables.

Take advantage of the site’s charming setting by having a picnic. There is something to tantalize everyone's taste buds!

Canada Day at Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site is now a must. Celebrate this event by participating in family activities.

1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Inflatable games, costumed interpretation, 1812 children’s rally and face painting
3:00 p.m.: Tasting Canada Day cake
7:00 p.m.: Musical show
10:00 p.m.: Spectacular fireworks!

Historical Re-enactments

July 14 and 15

History lovers are recreating a military camp!

Watch history come to life as costumed interpreters perform a series of military re-enactments.

The scent of the musket’s black powder will take you back in time. It doesn’t get any more real than this!

Saturday, July 14
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Tour of the encampments and drill exercise
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Battle re-enactment, with complete description
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Tour of the encampments and loading of the cannon at the blockhouse

Sunday July 15
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Tour of the encampments, drill exercise and loading of the cannon at the blockhouse
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Battle re-enactment, with complete description
3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Musical performance

Nature lovers will be delighted by this special day. Take the opportunity to go geocaching in the wilderness, where, GPS in hand, you will discover the beauty of the landscape.

Equipped with binoculars and a trail guide, you could also set out along the water prepared to encounter herons, kingfishers, and even ospreys out fishing.
