Visitor Services Centre

At the entrance to the canal on Lake Saint-Louis, adjacent to the recently restored lock, is the Lachine Visitor Services Centre, the ideal starting point for a tour of the canal and observing a lock!

Reception staff will tell you all about the services available at the national historic site and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the touristic attractions in the South-west region of Montréal. Shops, restaurants, and lookout terraces are just some of the attractions at the multiservice building.

Ongoing Exhibitions

Here, you can visit exhibitions such as entitled A 300-Year-Old Project and Navigating on the Lachine Canal. Historic photos and artifacts, old maps and plans and interactive games take you back to the great moments of a canal that was the predecessor of the St. Lawrence Seaway and the cradle of Canadian industry.

Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
