Continued Closure and Update regarding Woodside National Historic Site
KITCHENER, ONTARIO, November 17, 2011 – The historic house at Woodside National Historic Site will remain closed to visitors and programs until further notice. Clean-up following a recent flood in the basement of the historic house has uncovered suspected contamination which will require further investigation. Until the type and extent of contamination is determined, and the air quality determined to be safe, the historic house will remain closed to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.
Parks Canada thanks the public in advance for their patience and understanding. We invite visitors to explore the grounds of this national treasure.
Parks Canada will continue to provide updates on the closure as information becomes available.
