Lock 41 is the gateway to the beautiful and historic Talbot River section of the Trent-Severn Waterway. It is the first of five manual locks in an eight-kilometre stretch that rise to overcome a lift of 22.2 metres (72.7 ft). Gamebridge is extremely popular for road travelers who use the station to take advantage of the large green area. The town of Beaverton, which is fully served, is located just a 5-minute drive south on Highway 12.
