Lakefield Development Scenario Sketches

An Open House was held at the Lakefield Community Centre on October 10, 2012 where attendees reviewed and provided input on three sketches for development scenarios. The sketches, completed by a design consultant, were based on suggestions from a community workshop held in February, 2012, and appropriate facility sizes for the site.

The input gathered in October will help Parks Canada determine which scenario or combination of uses would be the most viable and desirable for the community, and will issue a call for Expressions of Interest from local entrepreneurs.

The final property development scenario will be based on the needs of the community, keeping in mind that it must include enhanced public and visitor access, and a financial return to the Crown.
