Test your geocaching skills and join the GeoFreakZ Academy while you're at it. Your mission is to collect special passport stamps at secret cache locations.
This family friendly activity is designed for children (and parents) to learn firsthand about GPS and geocaching. Join the launch day fun on Saturday May 19, 2012 at the Peterborough Lift Lock Visitor Centre. That same day coincides with the opening weekend of the Trent-Severn Waterway, as well as the finale of celebrations around Parks Canada’s 100th birthday as the world’s first National Park Service.
If you don’t have a GPS unit, don’t fret. You can borrow one at the Visitor Centre compliments of Parks Canada. So come out on May 19th, uncover the secrets of geocaching AND win cool prizes!
