Southwold Earthworks near St. Thomas, Ontario commemorates the site of a village occupied by 800 to 900 Attiwandaronk Indians for approximately 20 years in the early 16th century. The site consists of an oval ring of earthworks enclosing archaeological remains of a double palisade and village that may have included up to 24 longhouses.
