A cross between a rustic cabin and a tent, the Parks Canada oTENTik is a relaxing, easier way to experience camping. The oTENTik accommodations at Beveridges Lockstation provide an ideal base camp for exploring historic canals in Ontario.

Inside each oTENTik:

  • Table and chairs
  • Three beds to accommodate up to six campers
  • Some are heated by baseboard heaters
  • Ample storage space under the beds to keep belongings out of the way
  • Fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
  • Broom and dustpan
  • Please note: there is no plumbing or running water in the tents

On each campsite:

  • Tent with front deck
  • Fire pit
  • Propane BBQ and food preparation station
  • Picnic table 
  • Muskoka chairs

Nearby:

  • Washroom with showers
  • Picnic shelters
  • Firewood and ice for sale
  • Easy water access for canoes and kayaks
  • 10 minute drive to the Rideau Canal Visitor Centre in Smiths Falls
  • 10 minute drive to the historic town of Perth, ON
  • Take a trip up the Tay canal

What to bring:

  • Sleeping bags, blankets and pillows
  • Food, drinks, and a water container
  • Cooking equipment, dishes, eating utensils and a cooler
  • Slippers or indoor shoes
  • Flashlights
  • Insect repellent
  • Matches or a lighter
