Fort George National Historic Site

Canada’s War of 1812 comes to life inside Fort George, site of a key battle more than 200 years ago. Wander through eight restored buildings, hear military music performed by the 41st Fife and Drum Corps, watch live musket demonstrations and enjoy beautiful views of the mighty Niagara River. Trained interpreters in historical dress share stories of the lives of British soldiers and their families, as well as the fateful day the fort fell to American forces.
