The Aerial Experiment Association formed by Bell on Octobre 1, 1907 “to get into the air” with a powered aircraft capable of carrying a man. Financed by Mrs. Bell, the Association included from left to right: Glenn Curtiss, Casey Baldwin, Alexander Graham Bell, le lieutenant Thomas A. Selfridge and J.A.D. McCurdy.
