We enjoy more sunny days than anywhere else in Nova Scotia. The average daily temperature during the summer (June, July and August) is 22.4°C (75 °F). The growing season (frost free days above 5°C/40 °F) averages 138 days, longer than anywhere else in the Maritimes. Winter comes late; often Christmas is green. Snow melts in April. Spring reflects the soft greens of new leaves and incites us to try maple syrup. By the end of May warm sunny weather is dependable.
