Cape Spear's geographic location makes it susceptible to rapid and unpredictable weather changes due to wind shifts. It is not unusual during the summer for Cape Spear to be shrouded in fog and cold while St. John's is sunny and 5 to 10 degrees Celsius warmer. Please dress or prepare accordingly.
