The Signal Hill Tattoo – His Majesty’s Royal Newfoundland Regiment of Foot (1795)
Get ready for a different kind of hard rock and heavy metal! Performances include cannon and musket fire, combined with the dramatic tunes of the Fife and Drum band.
When: Opening performance July 1 at 3:00pm. Regular performances on Wed/Thur/Sat/Sun at 11:00am and 3:00pm, weather permitting. Call the Visitor Centre to confirm performances (709) 772-5367.
Cost: $5.00 per person payable at entrance to the Tattoo performance field. Performances are 45 minutes in duration.



More than just a view Weapons of Warfare Tour

Weapons of Warfare Tour (WoW)
A detailed interpretive look at the military fortifications and technology on Signal Hill. Visitors will hike with period costumed interpreters from the summit of the hill to the Queen’s Battery Barracks where they will witness a live firing demonstration of historic weapons. Along the way, visitors will learn to ‘read’ a cannon, command a firing detail and much more.

Discovery History Tour Keys to Discovery Tour

Keys to Discovery/General History Tour
An interactive tour, which covers the key points in military and communications history. Walk the top of Signal Hill with a Parks Canada guide and discover the role Signal Hill played in military and communications history from early civilian defense in the 1600’s to the Canadian/American occupation of Signal Hill during the Second World War.
