La Société historique de Saint-Boniface (la Société), was the first francophone historical society established in western Canada. Today, la Société is an important archival centre, committed to research, preservation and public education related to the history of the francophone and Métis communities in western Canada. La Société has worked with Parks Canada for 30 years, delivering engaging heritage programmes and visitor services at Riel House National Historic Site. Now, both organisations are collaborating to share website content that raises awareness, promotes client services, encourages visitation and presents the heritage themes and learning opportunities of Riel House National Historic Site.
