Parks Canada’s welcoming and knowledgeable staff are on site to greet you and offer new ways to connect with the remarkable stories of Riel House:
- Read the on-site interpretive displays to find out about the fascinating history of Louis Riel and the Métis of Red River;
- Try your hand at a variety of outdoor games that will take you back to the time when Manitoba was young.
Through funding from the Manitoba Métis Federation, the Louis Riel Institute will offer interpretive programming at Riel House for the 2014 season.

Thursday Night Soirees
Back by popular demand, Thursday Night Soirees will return featuring lively Métis fiddle music and special guests.

This summer, the Louis Riel Institute is offering a variety of special activities, including workshops, historical demonstrations, summer camps, as well as a sewing circle.

The Louis Riel Institute is excited to be hosting a sewing circle this summer! Anyone interested in spending time at Riel House to work on personal projects or even a project started through our workshops is welcome to join the circle.

This year the Louis Riel Institute is offering summer camps for youth ages 5-12. The day camps are offered on Thursdays in July and August in both English and French.
