Hours of Operation

Lower Fort Garry is open year-round. Our hours and services change with the seasons:

October 1, 2011 – May 6, 2012

• Enjoy a stroll through the historic grounds at no charge.
• Historic buildings not open.
• Group guided tours available by reservation only.

May 7, 2012 – June 29, 2012

• Open 7 days a week, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, regular entrance rates apply.
• Monday to Friday: Enjoy a self-guided visit and meet costumed staff throughout the historic grounds.
• Saturday and Sunday: Tours depart every 30 minutes starting at 9:30 am.
• Last tour at 4:00 pm. Meet costumed staff inside the Fort walls.

June 30, 2012 – September 3, 2012

• Open 7 days a week, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, regular entrance rates apply.
• Enjoy a self-guided visit and meet costumed staff throughout the historic grounds.
• Daily activities, and special events.

September 4, 2012 – September 30, 2012

Saturday and Sunday:

• Open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, regular entrance rates apply.
• Tours depart every 30 minutes starting at 9:30 am.
• Last tour at 4:00 pm. Meet costumed staff inside the Fort walls. Regular entrance rates apply.
