Summer Season Educational and Interpretive Programs
Educational and interpretive programs are offered by Parks Canada staff at Illecillewaet Campground and the 1885 Trail/Glacier House complex. Campfire talks and evening strolls through the historic site take place most evenings in July and August. Please contact the campground staff for the specific summer schedule.
Heritage Education Extension Programs
A visit to Rogers Pass National Historic Site can make classroom concepts come alive. Programs are offered at the Rogers Pass Discovery Centre and Illecillewaet Campground. Educators should view our education programs page or phone 250-837-7528 for more details on program offerings.
Neighbouring Railway Heritage Sites
The Revelstoke Railway Museum in downtown Revelstoke features three galleries dedicated to the construction and operation of the Canadian Pacific Railway line, and the workers who made the line run.
The Last Spike Visitor Centre in Craigellachie (118 km west of Rogers Pass) is the location of the completion ceremony of the Canadian Pacific Railway on November 7, 1885.
