This month, Parks Canada is celebrating 100 years since the creation of the Dominion Parks Branch. Our theme, New Beginnings, highlights not only our beginnings in 1911, and the innovations that have made the agency a leader in the century since its creation, but also the present and future initiatives that we are and will be putting forward. Moreover, we will also introduce you to the development of our newest network of protected places: the national marine conservation areas (NMCA).
