Wheelchair Accessible Facilities

Both Visitor Reception Centres wheelchair accessible.

The Visitor Centre in Haines Junction has a wheelchair available for use by visitors. You can make arrangements to use the wheelchair by calling the Visitor Centre at:

There are two campsites with adjacent outhouses that are wheelchair accessible in Kathleen Lake Campground.

The Kathleen Lake Day Use Area has wheelchair accessible facilities, including: day use shelter, picnic tables, outhouses and interpretive panels. Starting at the Day Use area the Kokanee Trail is a wheel chair accessible boardwalk that skirts the edge of Kathleen Lake.

Services for the Visually & Hearing Impaired

Interpretive binders, written in large font are available at both Visitor Centres.

A closed captioned video providing an overview of Kluane’s cultural and natural history is available at the visitor centre in Haines Junction upon request. A close captioned “Staying Safe in Bear Country” is available at both Visitor Centres.
