Visitor Centres

Kluane’s Visitor Centres are open during the 2013 summer operating season from Friday, May 17 (Victoria Day long weekend) through Monday, September 2 (Labour Day).

Haines Junction

The Kluane National Park Visitor Centre in Haines Junction is located in the Da Kų Cultural Center. It features a topographic relief model of the Kluane area, exhibits on the park's natural and cultural history, a high definition video, information on hiking and other activities, backcountry registrations and much more!

Hours of Operation

Daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Please arrive by 4:30 pm to register for overnight trips.

Off Season

During the off-season you can self register for overnight trips into the park at the Da Kų Cultural Centre.

Tachäl Dhäl (Sheep Mountain)

Situated in the Ä’äy Chù (Slim's River) Valley, the Tachäl Dhäl (Sheep Mountain) Visitor Centre is a one-hour drive north of Haines Junction on the Alaska Highway. Dall Sheep viewing opportunities are often possible in the spring and fall. Backcountry registrations and park information are also provided here.
