Visitor Reception Centres

Visitor centres for Kluane National Park and Reserve are located at Haines Junction and near Tachal Dhal (74 km north of Haines Junction).

Kluane Visitor Reception Centre

Open: daily mid-May to mid-September, from 9 am to 5pm*and by appointment for the remainder of the year.
*Please arrive by 4:30pm to register for overnight trips in the park.

Featuring a topographic relief map of the Kluane area, exhibits on the park's natural and cultural history, information on hiking and other activities, backcountry registrations and much more!

Tachal Dhal (Tachal Dhal) Visitor Reception Centre

Open : daily mid-May to mid-September, from 9 am to 4pm.
*Please arrive by 3:30pm to register for overnight trips in the park.

Situated in the Slim's River Valley, the Tachal Dhal (Tachal Dhal) Visitor Centre is a one-hour drive north of Haines Junction on the Alaska Highway. Dall Sheep viewing opportunities are often possible in the spring and fall. Backcountry registrations and park information are also provided here.
