Northern Nights - Kluane's Stargazing Experience

Join us at Kathleen Lake in Kluane National Park and Reserve for two evenings of stargazing with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Yukon Centre and more. An experience that is sure to be out of this world!

Friday, September 23rd

Paint the Night Sky
5:30 – 8 p.m.
Capture the night sky in an acrylic painting workshop with artist, Maya Rosenberg. Cost $40 to cover supplies. Limited space, to preregister email

Campfire Stories
8 – 9 p.m.
Gather around the fire and listen to traditional First Nations stories with John Fingland from Champagne and Aishihik First Nations.

10 p.m.
Turn your eyes to the skies and explore space through a telescope with the RASC Yukon Centre as your guide.

Saturday, September 24th

Keeping Your Feet on Earth
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Join a Parks Canada interpreter on a guided hike around the area. Cost $19.60.

Kids Activities
1 – 4 p.m.
Hang out at the Day Use Area and spend the afternoon doing arts, crafts & more!

Presentation by RASC Yukon Centre
4:30 – 6 p.m.
Learn from the experts about stargazing and aurora viewing in the North!

Hot Dog Roast
6:30 – 8 p.m.

Movie Night
8 – 10 p.m.
Grab your sleeping bag & a handful of popcorn, let the show begin!

10 p.m.
If you missed out yesterday, now is your chance to see the universe!
