First, students will discover Parks Canada’s mission and system of protected areas through a PowerPoint presentation given by the teacher. Then they will carry out a matching activity using a map of Canada. Lastly, they will look at the particular features of a national park: La Mauricie, Forillon or the Mingan Archipelago.

Each national park folder includes the following: teaching guide, PowerPoint presentation, matching activity, map of Canada, answer key for the matching activity, video and a supplementary fact sheet.
