Possible Destinations

Anticagamac Lake

The 2.4-km portage between Wapizagonke Lake and Anticagamac Lake is well worth the effort. From the very first moment you see it, you will be awed by the grandeur of the cliff overhanging the great bay. Proceeding northward, you will soon find yourself paddling through fabulous water gardens. Glide through the meandering waterway softly, and keep your eyes open: this lake is renowned for the abundance and diversity of its wildlife. An unforgettable experience!

Waber Falls

This one-day trip involves an 8-km stretch by canoe on Wapizagonke Lake, followed by a 6-km hike. Luckily, though, you don't have to portage. Your efforts will be rewarded by some of the most majestic sceneries on the Wapizagonke and Anticagamac lakes. And what bliss, after all your exertion, to cool off under some of the finest waterfalls in the park! Be careful, and take your time.

Wapizagonke Lake

As you paddle along the shore of Wapizagonke Lake, you will be astounded at the sheer diversity of the waterscapes: beaches alternating with cliffs, marshy inlets succeeding crystal-clear streams flowing into the lake. As for the aquatic wildlife of the region, it shows a clear preference for the grass-fringed bays and lake outlets.
