Things you should know regarding Cap-Bon-Ami, Petit-Gaspé and Des-Rosiers Campgrounds

Staying in an unspoiled park, soaking up the peace and quiet of nature, breathing in the salt air-all this is enjoyed by campers who use any of the park's 367 semi-serviced campsites. A group campground and three unserviced campgrounds in the backcountry are also available to you.

Park Camping fees
Reservations
To ensure that you will have a campsite for your visit to Forillon, it is recommended to use the Parks Canada Campground Reservation Service.

Beginning on April 11, 2011, the service will accept reservations for stays between June 20 to August 26, 2011.
Group Camping
For a reservation at the Petit-Gaspé group campground, please call 418-368-5505 or at 418-892-5911, from May 28 to October 10.
Wilderness Camping
Backcountry campsites are located along the Les Crêtes and Les Lacs trails. These sites include basic amenities, such as dry toilets and picnic tables. There is no cost for camping at backcountry sites, but registration at a reception centre or toll kiosk is mandatory. Open-air wood fires are prohibited in all areas of the backcountry.
Information and Rules
- Check-out time is 11 a.m.;
- Wood fires are permitted only in designated fireplaces;
- It is not permitted to use deadwood, tree branches or driftwood as fuel;
For those who haven’t booked…
Nearly 20% of the 360 semi-serviced campsites in the park are available to those who have not booked in advance. These sites are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Restaurants and Lodging Outside the Park
Lodging
There are also private campgrounds (with and without services) near the park. For visitors who prefer other types of lodging, the towns and villages neighbouring the park can accomodate them. There are motels, hotels, inns, cottages, cabines, and many B&B accomodations closeby.
Restaurants
Visitors of Forillon National Park can grab a bite at the Recreation Centre restaurant, located in the south area of the Park.
The restaurant is open from June 4 to September 5 2011.
Besides that, a very diversified catering trade is offered in the surroundings of Forillon. From the friendly snack-bar to the finest regional gastronomy, restaurateurs from the areas are sure to satisfy everyone's appetite!
