Safety Regulations for Sea-based Activities in Forillon National Park
A Message to Water Sports Enthusiasts
Forillon National Park's seaside location attracts an increasing number of visitors interested in pleasure boating, sea kayaking, scuba diving and other ocean activities. To ensure your safety and the protection of resources, please follow the safety regulations that apply to water sports.
- Let someone know what you are planning to do
Whenever possible, use the buddy system. Always tell someone your points of departure and arrival as well as the time you expect to return.
- Check the weather and the tides
Weather conditions can change quickly at sea; wind and fog can arrive suddenly. Tides can cause strong currents that may be difficult to overcome.
- Follow the safety rules of your specific activity
Bring along the safety equipment you need and learn how to use it in case of an emergency. Above all, never go beyond your limits.
