According to the National Geographic Traveler magazine, Gaspésie is still one of the world’s best destinations to visit in 2011!

The Gaspé Péninsula is the only Canadian region selected, and ranks alongside other renowned destinations such as Italy, Japan, Greece, Alaska, and Tunisia.

The article covering the region notably praises the mountains, the sea, the wildlife sanctuaries, the Forillon National Park, the Chaleur Bay, and the Percé region. The magazine also describes the Gaspé Peninsula as a must destination for its winter tourism.

Back in 2009, Gaspésie ranked 3rd as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world according to the National Geographic Society, and the National Geographic magazine placed the region in the top "50 Places of a Lifetime."
