While you’re at the Recreation Centre, be sure to watch the musical show Gallantine au parc Forillon (in French only) at 1:00 p.m. Gallantine takes children on a fun-filled adventure that introduces them to humpback whales, cliff birds, bear cubs and the many other animals of Forillon. The show is followed by a creative workshop for young budding artists.

Throughout the afternoon, the interpretation team will hold special on-site activities. Face painting, door prizes and other surprises are in store! Take advantage of the opportunity to meet Parks Canada’s mascot Parka or visit one of the new oTENTik tent-cabins, the ideal accommodations for an unforgettable family getaway!

Croisières Baie-de-Gaspé will also be offering two whale-watching cruises on open house day (departures from Grande-Grave wharf at 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.). Cruises will be free for children aged 15 or under. (Places are limited! Be sure to reserve by calling 418-892-5500.)
