Is your dog or cat visiting the park with you?

Please be aware that there are a number of regulations pertaining to domestic animals while in Prince Edward Island National Park:

  • Pets are prohibited on all Prince Edward Island National Park beaches between April 1 and October 15 annually.
  • Your pet must be kept on a leash at all times.
  • Pets are prohibited from entering public buildings.

These regulations are in place to ensure the safety of your pet, as well as for the protection of park wildlife and visitors.

Heading to the beach? Make sure you’ve made arrangements for your animal. With an outside temperature of 27 degrees celcius your car can reach 42 degrees celcius within minutes.
