A Cyclist’s Dream
There is no better way to explore the stunning landscape of PEI’s north shore than by cycling the Gulfshore Way. This seaside route is a recent upgrade to PEI National Park that offers a paved, two-way trail that twins the Gulfshore Parkway, providing cyclists with a smooth surface and a mix of flat stretches and gentle rolling slopes.
Gulfshore Way West stretches from Oceanview Look-off in Cavendish to North Rustico Beach providing unmatched views of the Island’s striking red sandstone cliffs. Gulfshore Way East stretches from the entrance to the park at Brackley through to Dalvay. Along the way you’ll enjoy an extended smooth stretch through rolling dunes and salt marshes before crossing the bridge at Covehead Harbour, passing the famous Covehead Lighthouse and the Historic Dalvay-by-the-Sea Hotel.
All trail distances are return unless otherwise noted.
