Join our dynamic interpreters and take part in one of our fun summer programs. Whether you're on a beach or trail, or around the campfire, this could be the experience that ignites your moment of discovery.
Beaches and Dunes: Explore the unique ecology of our beaches, sand dunes and marine life.
Beach Finds: Discover what the waves bring ashore as we hunt for beached treasures.
Discovery Activities*: Study our natural and cultural resources through hands-on and interactive activities. Fun for all ages.
Exploring Pond Life: Learn about fascinating plants and animals, and the watery world they call home.
Greenwich Dunes: Journey to PEI National Park’s hidden gem as you hike through field, forest and pond habitats in search of a rare, parabolic dune formation. Note: Please wear appropriate footwear and bring water and bug spray.
Habitats are Homes: The creatures of PEI National Park share their fascinating tales of adaptation among the habitats they call home. Bring a flashlight and blanket.
Mi’kmaq People: Explore the traditions and culture of the Mi’kmaq through stories and teachings. Feel the resonance of the hand drum, and discover thousands of years of cultural history with archaeological artifacts.
Park after Dark*: Experience PEI National Park after sundown and discover some fascinating nighttime happenings. Bring a flashlight and blanket. Cavendish: July 11 & 25; August 8 & 22; Stanhope: July 18; August 1, 15 & 29.
Roaming Rovers: Keep an eye out for roaming interpreters. Their knowledge is vast and they may be able to help you discover a thing or two about your favourite beach or trail.

Salty Tales: A couple of “old-salts” share their stories and songs of early French and Acadian settlement, fishing and shipwrecks on the north shore. Bring a flashlight and a blanket.
Sensational Sandcastles: Bring the family and join renowned PEI artist Maurice Bernard to build spectacular creations in the sand! Look for “Sensational Sandcastles” in July and August.
Sturdy on Stilts: Observe the amazing variety of shorebirds and waterfowl found along the coastal bays of the park. Parking is available at Covehead Wharf.
Wild Edibles*: What do cranberry, cattails and rose hips have in common? Join us for a “tasty” walk and discover the scrumptious world of wild edibles!
Xplore PEI National Park: Hey kids! Join PEI National Park’s Xplorers Xperts to earn your Xplorers badge and become a member of our team of Xperts.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. All programs are subject to appropriate weather conditions, and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
