From July 2 to September 5, join our dynamic interpreters and take part in one of our fun summer programs. Whether you're on a beach or trail, or around the campfire, this could be the experience that ignites your moment of discovery.

MONDAY

Sensational Sandcastles
Bilingual, 3 hours

Cavendish Beach
Bring the family and join renowned PEI artist, Maurice Bernard, to build spectacular creations in the sand. Once you’ve learned the tricks of the trade you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to turn your family members into master sandcastle builders!

Eyes to the Skies

Ever wonder what the sun really looks like? Come join our guides and take a peek through a dedicated solar telescope as we shed some light on our closest star! Remember, you should never look at the sun through a regular telescope, with binoculars or the naked eye.

You never know what you’ll find washing up along the shores of Greenwich Beach. Once you know what to look for, you’ll be amazed at the fascinating array of life that calls this part of Prince Edward Island home. Join one of our expert beachcombers and discover the treasures just under your feet.

Top Hat Time Machine

Cavendish Campground
Join us for a different look into how Canada came to be and help us show a time-travelling "Father" some good old East Coast hospitality. You never know, the circus might still be in town! Be sure to bring a blanket and a flashlight.

Bring the kids and join Parka, Parks Canada’s mascot, to discover the wonders of Prince Edward Island National Park. Participate in some fun activities and become a member of “Club Parka”! Youth between the ages of 6-11 years can also get started on our new Xplorers program.

Enjoy an evening of live theatre as Atlantic Canada’s only Aboriginal theatre troupe presents five traditional Mi’kmaq legends. Each legend has been passed down from generation to generation and showcases some of the rich cultural heritage of the Mi’kmaq people. This is a night you won’t want to miss!

If there are two things Islanders love, it’s storytelling and great East Coast music! Grab a flashlight and a blanket and join us by the campfire to experience a whole new side of North Shore culture with local Island musicians and storytellers.
