Caribou Festival – Caribou Got the Blues

Pukaskwa’s Caribou Festival offers you the opportunity to learn about the park’s most elusive animal. Games and activities will be offered to entertain the entire family. Take in the coffeehouse on Saturday night to hear local musicians pay tribute to this beautiful animal.

Art in the Park

See Lake Superior’s wildest shore through new eyes. Pukaskwa’s Art in the Park program gives you an opportunity to meet a new artist every week. See their work in the Hattie Cove Visitor Centre, or create your own art during a workshop every Saturday afternoon at 2pm.

Canada Day & Opening of Anishinaabe Camp

Free entry. Participate in guided hikes with knowledgeable interpreters. Enjoy cake and refreshments in the Visitor Center. Join in games and activities for all ages. This is also the day the Anishinaabe Camp opens for the summer season, so join us early for a sunrise pipe ceremony.

The Anishinaabe people, are the people of the north shore of Lake Superior, and have known this land for generations. Come immerse yourself in Anishinaabe culture—learn some of the language, try your hand at making (and eating) traditional foods, receive the gift of an Aninshinaabe teaching, and so much more.
