Your national park adventure on the Bruce Peninsula begins at the new visitor centre!
Visitor Centre Highlights
Climb the 20m (65') tower for a bird's-eye view of the Bruce!
Chill out in the high-definition theatre, for a virtual adventure to the best spots in the park!
Experience the exhibit gallery, with everything from a full-size lighthouse, flowerpot and cliff to black bear, rattlesnake and shipwreck exhibits.
Drop in on a special demo by a park naturalist.
Shop for national park souvenirs in the gift shop.
Hike the world-famous Bruce Trail, which runs right past the visitor centre, to scenic coves on Georgian Bay.
Register to dive in Fathom Five or to camp on Flowerpot Island .

How to Get There
The visitor centre is located adjacent to the village of Tobermory, a short walk or drive from downtown.
If you're travelling north on Highway 6 into Tobermory:
Turn right (east) onto Chi sin tib dek Road, across from the RBC. Follow approximately 1km to the visitor centre.
or
If you're travelling south on Highway 6 from Tobermory:
Turn left (east) onto Chi sin tib dek Road, across from the RBC. Follow approximately 1km to the visitor centre.
or
Walking from Downtown Tobermory (on the Bruce Trail):
Start at the Bruce Trail monument across from the LCBO. Follow the beaver signs to the Visitor Centre, a 5 minute walk.
Kids enjoy the replica lighthouse exhibit in the visitor center.

Group Tours
Our world-class visitor centre and adjacent trails are an ideal national park experience for adult group tours and school groups! The centre has parking for buses, ample washrooms, a picnic area, wheelchair accessible facilities and bilingual service. The visitor centre is self-guided.

Trails from the Visitor Centre
- Bruce Trail to Little Dunks Bay Lookout
This short section of the Bruce Trail meanders through lush cedar forest, along mossy covered ridges, and reaches a viewing platform that overlooks Little Dunks Bay, a secluded and scenic cove of Georgian Bay.
Length: 0.8km (one way)
Hiking Time: 10-15 minutes (one way)
Difficulty: Easy.
Trail Surface: Flat and hard packed. Wheelchair accessible.
- Bruce Trail Burnt Point Loop
Hike this new loop side trail, accessed from the Bruce Trail, just before the Little Dunks Bay Lookout.
Length: 4.8km (round-trip from Visitor Centre)
Hiking Time: 1.5 - 2 hours
Difficulty: Moderate
Trail Surface: Rough, rocky sections. Sturdy footwear recommended.
- Bruce Trail South
Hike the Bruce Trail, Canada's most famous footpath, south from the Visitor Centre. For information, visit the

- Visitor Centre to Tobermory Harbour
The Bruce Trail connects the Visitor Centre to the harbour in downtown Tobermory.

Difficulty: Easy
Trail Surface: Flat, hard-packed stone and paved sidewalk. Wheelchair accessible.
